Hampshire College is proud to be the first College or University to fully sponsor an National Poetry Slam venue. Our Nationals Team Competition is open to all: however, in order to select the most involved members of our community for the team, we have implemented a points system for the competition. To compete in our National Team semi-finals, you must have collected 10 points. Points are awarded as follows:
Reading in the open mic or slam: 1 point
Making it to the second round of a slam: 2 pointsMaking it to the final round of a slam: 3 points
Points totals will only be recorded for those members of the collective who have asked to have their points collected. If you are interested in competing for the Nationals team, please give your information to the host at a Slam Collective event. The requested poet point totals are as follows:
